SW Canyon & Josh
I grew up in Portland and my first house was on Lombard which was right down the street from Plaid Pantry. My family moved over to Beaverton and then the Canyon Road location became my go-to spot. Dave is our store manager and I’ve know him for almost 15 years. I started out on graveyard here at Plaid Pantry and now I’m the assistant manager at the Canyon Road location.
My first day, I was on the register and couldn’t believe how busy it was. I remember ringing out a customer, hearing the door beep, and all of a sudden there was a line stretching all the way back to the cooler. And it stayed like that for hours!
When I’m working, my focus is on efficiency where you have to be smarter than the workload and the level of business you have.
Outside of work, I love to play guitar and I’ve been playing for 18 years. One of my favorite bands is Metallica. The first song I ever heard was Master of Puppets and hearing the guitar in that song made me want to learn. My favorite movie is Star Wars (see picture below) and I love the original movies.
