Money Orders
Plaid Pantry is proud to offer money orders for only 47 cents.
They are a "cash only" purchase. We also provide Claim Cards in
English and Spanish in the event your money order is lost or stolen. You can check to
see if a money order that you purchased has been cashed by emailing
moneyorders@plaidpantry.com or calling (503) 646-4736. If your money order becomes lost or
stolen, you will need to pick up a money order claim report which is available at any
Oregon Plaid Pantry or you can download a claim card below.

Remember to fill out your money order! A blank money order is like cash.

If your Money Order has been lost or stolen:

1.Find out the status of the money order (whether it has been cashed) by calling (503) 646-4736
or toll free (877) 440-6994. You may also e-mail us. If you phone us and get voice mail,
leave your name, the serial number of the lost money order, and a number where you can
be reached.

2. You will need to fill out a claim card to receive a photocopy or to have a stop payment
placed on the item if it has not been cashed. The bank charges a $6 fee per money order to
either retrieve the photocopy or have the stop placed. The claim card is required because we
need your written permission which is done when you sign the claim card.

3. The claim cards are available at any Plaid Pantry, and are available in English
and in Spanish. You can also download the claim cards below, but remember you must
include the fee when submitting a claim, so it must be mailed or delivered in person.

4. Remember to sign the claim report, and read the instuctions!

5. The whole process usually takes a week to a week and a half unless your money
order was blank. The 30 days for processing in the instructions is if the item was blank. 

Remember a blank money order is like cash until it is filled out.
